Charlotte Moss started her career operating a retail store in the West Village that quickly became a destination for furniture and decorative accessories. Moss' initial foray into expanded product areas began in 1991 with the release of her book A Passion for Detail (Doubleday). Engaging, reassuring and filled with creative ideas, consumer demand for insight from Charlotte Moss resulted in the publication of five subsequent titles: Creating A Room (Viking Studio Books, 1995), The Poetry of Home (Boxwood Press, 1998), Design Inspirations (Boxwood Press, 2004), Winter House (Clarkson Potter, 2005), and A Flair For Living (Assouline, 2008).
Due to increasing consumer interest, Moss is partnering with select luxury home ware craftsmen and expanding her original product offering. Driven by her unique inspirations, Moss has designed fabrics, furniture, linens, china, and carpet that make the Charlotte Moss aesthetic readily available to the consumer market. Her partnership with preeminent international design companies such as Agraria, Brunschswig & Fils, Traditions, Pickard, and Stark Carpet is indicative of Charlotte Moss' commitment to expanding her collections and sharing them with her discerning clientele.
